By following these steps, you’ll achieve a high-gloss, durable finish with OPI Diamond Gel - Gloss Top Sealer, ensuring your manicure stays beautiful and long-lasting.
Prepare the Nails:
Begin by sanitizing your hands and your client's hands.
Push back the cuticles using a cuticle pusher and trim any excess cuticle.
Shape the nails using a file and lightly buff the nail surface to remove shine.
Clean the nails with a nail cleanser or alcohol wipe to remove any dust and oils.
Apply Gel Base Coat:
Apply a thin layer of gel base coat to the nails.
Cure the base coat under a UV/LED lamp for the time recommended by the base coat manufacturer (usually 30-60 seconds).
Apply Gel Color (Optional):
If you are applying a gel color, apply a thin layer of gel polish to the nails.
Cure the gel polish under the UV/LED lamp according to the polish manufacturer's instructions.
Repeat with a second layer of gel color if desired, curing between each layer.
Apply OPI Diamond Gel - Gloss Top Sealer:
Apply a thin, even layer of OPI Diamond Gel - Gloss Top Sealer over the entire nail, sealing the free edge to prevent chipping.
Cure the top sealer under a UV/LED lamp for 30-60 seconds, depending on the lamp's strength.
Finishing Touches:
Once cured, there may be a tacky layer on the nails. Use a lint-free wipe soaked in nail cleanser or alcohol to gently remove this sticky residue.
For a perfect finish, you can apply a cuticle oil around the nails to nourish the skin and add shine.
Tips for Best Results:
Ensure each layer is thin and even to prevent bubbling or uneven curing.
Use a quality UV/LED lamp to ensure proper curing of the gel products.
Make sure to cap the free edge with each layer to help prevent lifting and chipping.
